1.4: Liquid Glass, translation & fixes
Hi, here’s some news straight from behind the scenes of the Potch app :)
The new version 1.4 of Potch brings several new features and I took the opportunity to modernize the interface for the release of iOS 26 scheduled for September 15, which introduces Liquid Glass (a new iOS look). Potch’s icon has therefore received a small facelift to be compatible with the new iOS 26 home screen.
This update has been submitted to Apple and will be available in the App Store after review.
I also took the opportunity to visually improve most of the app’s screens, and this work will continue in future versions, whether based on feedback I receive or ideas I have. These changes are made to harmonize Potch’s visual identity throughout the app and align with iOS standards.
I also added a new natural ambient sound, straight from Japan. It was recorded in Arashiyama, Kyoto, on a summer evening in August: it was raining slightly and the sound of rain mixed with crickets and birds was a true auditory pleasure and a wonderful blend that I immediately recorded!
